Poker Hands Ranking

From highest to lowest

Poker rule number 1 is knowing what's in your hands. How else would you decide when to raise a bet or when to fold? The following list presents the whole series of poker hands ordered by value.

Royal Flush

Go all-in with this: five suited, consecutive cards in the highest possible combination: 10-J-Q-K-A.

Straight Flush

Five suited, consecutive cards.

Four of a Kind

Four cards of the same rank.

Full House

Simply put, a Three of a kind plus one pair.

Flush

Five suited cards in a non-consecutive sequence.

Straight

Five unsuited cards forming a number sequence.

Three of a Kind

Just like the pair, but with three cards. Some call it a Set.

Two Pair

Two sets of one pair.

One Pair

You'll have a pair when two of your cards have the same rank. Pairs rank from the pair of Aces (strongest) to the pair of twos (weakest).

High card / Kicker

When you can't make a better hand, you'll have to settle for the highest out of the five cards.
Also, use the highest card as the Kicker to break a tie when two or more players have the same combination.
